Every time a G ba clef is used, the Notation option to respect Octave Indicator must be chosen.
Even if you Save as Default, the next time a new score is composed, that same Respect Octave Indicator preference must be selected.
Is it possible to set a preference that Respect Octave Indicator be the default selection on any new score?

How are you starting your new score?
If you start with File > New, or if you start from a Dorico factory template, then your user defaults should be respected. But if you’re starting from one of your own templates, then the settings in that template are used.
Thank you. I’ve been poking around trying to see what would happen starting fromFile>New.
At first File>New included the Default settings, Respect Octave Indicator. File>New from project template came up as Ignore octave indicator. Then I went to the Create New tab on the Dorico Templates page and Ignore Octave Indicator came up.
After a few more tries with different templates with differing results, it finally happened that all selections now come up with Respect Octave Indicator, the desired default situation.
Maybe the poking around helped, but it’s all good now.
