Is there any way to suppress this message (Ramp/curves on midi channel any)

It’s popping up every time I select midi tracks set to Any. I’m not using any ramps or curves, but I need to set it to “Any” as it’s for a 12-string guitar plugin where you set the string being played per midi channel. I also need to use Sustain but that’s an on/off thing, not a ramp or curve.

It’s really annoying that the message pops up every time. Any help?

Hi,

Does it happen when you select the track or when you change the Channel to Any?

Hi Martin, it’s any time I create a new midi region and also draw notes in, while the Sustain lane is active

Hi,

Thank you for clarifying. I will check it.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to disable the message.

Hi,

OK, I can confirm this.

Why do you use Ramp Mode, if the MIDI Channel is set to Any, if you know, this is not supported, please?

Could you just switch to the Step Mode, please?

Hi, I wasn’t aware I was using any particular mode, this is just the default setup (it’s a fresh install on a new system). So I haven’t changed anything on the track except add a Sustain lane and change the MIDI channel to Any.

How do I switch modes?

Hi,

Make a MIDI Part and open the Key Editor. Next to the controller selector there is a button with the arrow down. Click on it and choose the Step mode, please.

Thank you, I’ll try that!

Just a quick note to say this worked a treat. Thanks Martin!

I just tried Martin’s solution, and it did not work for me in Cubase Pro 14. I get the message every time I open the project file.

That’s version 14.0.10.

Hi,

Do you use the Any MIDI Channel?
