Is there no way to copy/paste midi velocity data?

Hey,

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to copy / paste velocity data in the pianoroll editor. Seems like it should be easy.

Believe it or not, this is done via Groove Quantize …
Select your source Part, and create the Groove (Edit Menu>Advanced Quantize).
On the Destination Part, open the Quantize dialog for the Groove that you have just created, and set Position, Length, and Non-Q to zero, but Velocity to 100%.

Wouldn’t having the RANGE tool in the editor be quicker? Seems like a roundabout way to have to use the Groove Quantize and go through those steps? I may be wrong

Hi shanabit, can you describe how you’d do this please? I can only find the range tool in the project window’s toolbar.

Thanks Guys. I suspected that the solution would involve something sneaky like this, but shanabit is right, we should have a tool for this.
