I have been having nothing but trouble with Cubase 15.0.5 on MacOS 26.1 (Tahoe). I am running it on a 2021 MacBookPro M1 in Native mode. I am loading a project with only about 10 tracks, however they are from a live performance and each track contains approximately two hours of live recorded music.
So, I understand that whatever Cubase is doing when it is loading and unloading a project is probably time consuming with a project of that length, however it does seem to be taking an excessive amount of time. But worse than that, Cubase very reliably crashes without a dialogue upon closing or shutting down Cubase 15 from this project.
I have attached a Diagnostic Report from the crash. Could someone who knows how to read these Crash Diagnostic Reports please have a look to see what may be causing this crash?
I have not learned how to read the mac crash files so this reply is more to follow the thread. but can I ask you - have you used Melodyne for these projects?
As a matter of fact, yes. I did invoke Melodyne via ARA to correct a couple of pitchy vocal notes. But I never made the changes permanent. The system was crashing so much that I decided to abandon the effort until I had more stability. I had a hunch that it might have something to do with Melodyne, but I couldn’t be sure.
like I said, I haven’t mastered the art of reading mac crash files yet.. but there is are 2 crashed threads and 1 seems to refer to Melodyne crashing from my understanding. so maybe it is an issue with Melodyne on the new mac os, the latest version hasn’t been updated in a while.
