Issue: Insert Menu is erratic -doesn't stay up long enough to make a selection

  1. create a new project.
  2. add HALion Sonic Instrument (and select a voice) does this with all Instruments by multiple mfg.
  3. Record a track
  4. Add an insert -at this point the dialog box doesn’t stay up -closes abruptly, Can’t navigate down the list to make a selection.
  5. occurs with both old and new projects.

MacStudio M2 MAX-64 GB - Tahoe 26.5 Cubase 15.0.21

Pointing device doesn’t matter -mice work fine with all other programs -Razer Deathadder Elite mouse (tried a new mouse right out of the box), Kensington laser both do it.

How exactly do you do this? In the Project window (Channel area), MixConsole, Channel Settings window, all of them?

Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?

Thanks for your response- I started in safe mode…to answer your question it doesn’t seem to matter where I try to add the insert.

The problem is Expression Map (which I’m not using) is in conflict with work flow- it’s switching to the ExpMap panel which closes the insert menu. I’ve turned off in VST preferences “always on top”…didn’t fix it.

Now the question is how to make expression maps behave.
