First run on Wavelab 12 Pro… I requested import of Wavelab 10 settings and expected things to look the same as 10 did… but it didn’t. Not too bad. However, MasterRig was not available. Found the folder to look in and ran a re-scan of plugins at next startup. MasterRig was now there. But… when using it on a mono audio file, it presented these errors…
… and under that one:
The plugin is installed with the program, so I reinstalled WL 12 and got the same errors.
I used MasterRig on mono files in WL 10. What changed?
What does it mean exactly? Master area?
MasterRig is a stereo mastering plugin. In an earlier version, I think it would transform a mono input to stereo, but not anymore.
The files are sermons from my church. Some come to me as stereo and some as mono files. Never had an issue until I upgraded.
Why would that be eliminated?
Possibly because the implicit conversion from mono to stereo could be error-prone.
In WaveLab 12, to use the MasterRig like in the past with mono files, do this:
I don’t convert the files to stereo. The files are just speech. No need for stereo.
I actually convert any stereo files to mono.
But I guess I could go mono → stereo and back.
Ok, but note that in WaveLab 10, with a mono input, you got a stereo output with the MasterRig.
