Issue: rest instead tied note

Hi, In 9/8 time, a tied note on the strong beat followed by a thirty-second is always replaced by a thirty-second rest.

I already tried to change display quantize.

Can you provide a screen grab that shows the note lengths in the info line?

Looks like it’s the same problem I was confronted with and had a lengthy discussion about with one of the programmers. Cubase tidies up the score for you whether you want or not, and decides to have 32nd rest there, so it looks better. The key editor shows the correct length, but the score editor has its own policy.

Have you tried. putting an extra 32nd note there with the mouse and then tie it to the previous note?

I’ve already tried the “glue” tool, without success. Just now I tried the “1/32 note” and “Tie” buttons. IT WORKS. Good. I’ll have to do it in every case, but at least it’s possible. Thanks for participating.
