Hi all, new to Dorico so hopefully this is something simple.
I’m trying to get my two orchestral percussion parts to display on the staff label as Percussion I and Percussion II, rather than the instruments the percussionists are playing. In the settings this seems pretty straightforward - Layout Options → Staves and Systems, check off the two percussion parts, and select “Show player names: ‘on all systems’”. However, for some reason it seems to be acting as if I’ve selected “On first system only”. On the first system I see Percussion I and Percussion II, but come the second system it displays one of the held instruments on the staff label instead. The instrument on the staff label isn’t even the first instrument that player plays, which is also a little weird.

Make sure you rename both the Full and the Short name of the Player (because the first system uses the Full name, and the subsequent systems use the Short name of that player).
To rename both the Full and Short names, you need to right click on the Player and choose Rename Player…:

I’m running into another layout label challenge. Though maybe minor, I still would like to get a consistent appearance if possible.
The following screen shots illustrate what I’m trying to explain:
I have a Percussionist with 2 instruments (splash cymbal & bass drum). When instrument change happens the bracket breaks, leaving the bass drum part separate from the rest of the percussion ensemble parts.
