"issue" slow performance/freeze using midi scale assistant snap live input

Hi,

when I use the scale assistant to snap the live input on midi items, the piano roll starts to go crazy, performance drops and cubase freezes completely for a few seconds.

reproduce:

  1. Create new project
  2. Create new midi track and midi item with some notes
  3. Activate scale assitant and check “snap live input”
  4. Try moving some midi notes
  5. in my case cubase gets laggy and freezes

Hi and welcome to the forum,

I expect, you open the Key Editor window in between the steps 2 and 3 and you activate the “Snap Live Input” in the Scale Assistant of the Key Editor, right?

Sorry, I cannot reproduce this neither in the Key Editor window, nor in the Key Editor Lower Zone.

Thanks for checking, I will keep an eye out if the problem stays, not that of a big deal, since I dont use it that often, just wanted to mention it.
