Issue : UR-44C Yamaha/Steinberg Drivers cause Inspector items to be non responsive

Description : In Cubase 15, when I select the Yamaha/Steinberg USB-C Driver for Audio - it seems to kill the ability to change any of the inspector settings such as : Track Versions, Midi Inserts, Quick Controls . Audio is output as expected and other Cubase functions seem ok.

Repro :

  1. Fresh install the Yamaha/Steinberg TOOLS V4 package
  2. Open a standard template - eg house
  3. Go to Audio Connections, Audio Settings and select the Yamaha/Steinberg USB-C driver
  4. In the project view - select a track and try to open any of the mentioned items in the inspector pane for the track.
  5. Swap to the internal ASIO Steinberg Driver (or any other you have) - normal function returns to these inspector items

System :

Windows 11 Pro, 25H2 OS Build 26200.8037, WIndows Experience Pack 1000.26100.300.0
Intel i9-14900KF (3.2GHz) 64GB
4TB SSD
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060
Cubase 15 Pro V15.0.10
Yamaha/Steinberg UR-C TOOLS V4.0

Hi Scott, I have a UR-44c and tried to recreate your issue, I don’t seem to have the same issue at all. All working normally. I’ve been using v4 for a while now with no issues. Can I ask, have you upgraded the firmware of the device? You can do this from the settings page in in the DSP mix control.

Solution was to completely strip out all drivers and associated software for UR-C and reinstall with latest tools install file.

Problem has now resolved.
