I’m having a problem with 3.5 Elements. I’m notating an acoustic guitar part and I want all the chord diagrams just beneath the title of the piece, like this:
But whenever I tell it to display the diagrams in that place, it gives me this:
I contacted both Yamaha support and Steinberg support. Dude from Yamaha could set up the chord diagrams in the way I wanted no problem on his end and suggested I call Steinberg, which I did, only to find out 3.5 is no longer supported and to ask the forums for help. I’m at a complete loss here and I need to get this finished. Any help here is greatly appreciated!
Could you please attach the project itself here, so we can take a look?
The problem, Daniel, is that every one of the pages in your project has page template overrides, which means that Dorico cannot automatically create the “chords used” frame. I’ve fixed up your project now, and an updated version is attached.

In more recent versions of Dorico Elements it’s possible for you to reset these overrides yourself. You might want to consider updating to Dorico Elements 5 – if you do it before the end of tomorrow, you’ll save 50% on the cost of the update in our current sale.
Ahhh ok. Thank you very much for doing that!
Bit of a new problem and I’m not sure it can be fixed in Elements. I now see this:
Notice the chord diagrams are overlapping with the chord symbols in the first stave. I have absolutely no idea how to go about fixing that. I tried changing the number of chord diagrams per line and changed their size a bit, but that didn’t help. Also, there are duplicate diagrams. Is there a setting to show each diagram used only once?
