Issue with 8va lines?

Hello everyone,
I’m currently transcribing a piano part where one voice goes from the lower staff to the upper one (so I use N to achieve this). In the end, I have to input an 8va line. Unfortunately, the 8va line becomes invisible unless I put the music again in the lower staff. The line is inserted since I can see its properties, but is invisible (also, it does not graphically affect the pitches).

Is there I way to fix this?

You can input the octave line onto a specific staff. Show the caret on the upper staff, and use the Shift+C popover to create the octave line.
