Condensing in the sax section is spotty. the first page there are no tenor saxes. Second page the tenors appear but the altos not condensed. The altos don’t condense till page 4.

The reason for the no tenor saxes on page one is due to a staff spacing error. It appears as though you’ve inadvertently dragged the staff somewhere odd. Select an item on the page and reset the staff spacing for that frame (Jump Bar > Reset Staff Spacing (Selected Frames)).
The reason for the alto saxes not condensing is due to the pitch crossing in bars 18-19. Either swap the three notes between the saxes or go to Notation Options > Condensing > Pitch Crossing > Pitch crossing approach > Allow unlimited pitch crossing. Or you can instead leave that setting as it is and increase the very next setting (Maximum number of pitch crosses in region).

That did fix the condensing and alerted me to a bit more pitch crossing. On the first page I was trying enlarge the music frame so I could spread the staves out. The rest of the pages are fine. Any help here.
- You’ve got Flow Headings turned on but have manually deleted the frames. The top staff is always a set distance from the Flow Heading (that you can choose) and doesn’t change just because you delete the heading.
Layout Options > Page Setup > Flows > Show flow headings > Never.
- You could change your Music Frame Margins to something smaller. This will also change the margins in all the following music frames too, and so it needs to be appropriate for them.
Layout Options > Page Setup > Music Frame Margins
- You can drag the music frames borders. Or better still, set a more appropriate size in your Page Template.
Here’s what I came up with. All of the things I’ve changed have been via settings i.e. are automatically done. There are no manual changes or page overrides.
