Hi everyone, I’ve encountered this issue related to dynamics at the end of the flow. I set a dynamic marking at the end of the third movement (final bar), but when I try to delete the last extra bar, the dynamic disappears. I’ve attached a video showing the problem. Has anyone experienced this? Thank you very much for your help.
When you selected the fff at the end of the crescendo hairpin, the attachment line indicates that it is attached to the rest in the final bar. Select it and use alt/opt+ left arrow to nudge it back into the penultimate bar. You might also need to shorten the crescendo by using alt/opt+ shift+left arrow.
If that doesn’t work, maybe because the two are linked, it might be sufficient just to select the fff and press alt/opt+shift+left arrow.
Failing that, try deleting them both, re-enter the fff making sure that it is attached to a point within the second-last bar and then re-enter the crescendo hairpin extending it to just before the fff.
Whichever method works, the important thing is to not have the fff attached to the last bar.
