I have tried everything in engraving options but for some reason the oboes do not want to show staff labels like all other instruments. I tried ignoring stem directions as mentioned in some other thread and switched back and further between different engraving options but to no avail.
How to get the oboes staff label like the flutes?
There’s something strange with those oboes! First thing I would try: in Setup mode, go to the instrument submenu (the one that shows … after the instrument name>Change instrument>Oboe) for both oboes. That should take 20s.
Thanks Marc, That is the solution and extremely fast.
It was the second oboe which for weird reasons was not an oboe although it showed as such. I revisited the score I made 3-4 years ago of Beethoven Symphony no. 7 to get a better playback of the famous allegretto (mainly a lot of manual automation of the notes marked staccato in the original).
