Issue with Opening Instrument Window from mixer view option+mouse click C14 (Mac)

Hi everyone,

I recently updated to Cubase 14, and I’ve encountered an issue that’s slowing down my workflow. Previously, I could open the virtual instrument window by holding down the Option key on my keyboard and left-clicking the E icon in the mixer. This shortcut was incredibly handy, but now it doesn’t seem to work at all.

I’m using an Apple MacBook Pro with the M3 MAX chip MAC OS 14.5 Sonoma. I’ve double-checked my settings and searched through the preferences, but I can’t figure out if this feature has been changed or disabled in the update.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a new way to achieve the same functionality, or is this potentially a bug with the latest version?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Pepe

Hi Pepe, You can open the instrument gui from the keyboard icon on the bottom left of the instrument channel in the mixer. This also works in the lower zone mixer on the project window.

I don’t usually use this as I’ve assigned a key command to the letter “I” in the key commands window - /edit/edit vst instrument.

The same key closes the gui as well and also works in the lower zone mixer.

Thank You a lot!
That keyboard icon on the bottom left of the instrument channel in the mixer is something new to me, Ive never seen it before. That is solution to my problems.

Glad to help.
