Ok so I have sound going in, but no sound coming out unless I click that orange preview button. And whatever that thing is at the bottom, has disappeared. Everything worked prior to a reinstall. Can anyone tell me how to fix? Thanks and sorry for being a noob.
The thing at the bottom is the transport panel, and it will come back if you hit [F2] on your keyboard.
As for the issue, more info needed. Hit [F3] on your keyboard to bring up the mixer and have a look at the output channels on the far right. Is it muted?
More info on your setup would be useful.
Actually figured everything out. After smashing F2 repeatedly, I noticed that the transport panel was dragged to the bottom of the screen and barely visible,so dragged it back up. The sound issue was due to my interface. The direct monitor switch was turned off.
