Issue with Steinberg Download Assistant

issue with Steinberg Download Assistant when trying to upgrade to Cubase Elements 11 from Cubase Elements 10.5 on a mac running Big Sur. I download the Assistant, click login and opens page in Safari, it prompts me to allow to run the Steinberg Web Launcher, which I allow and then nothing happens. Tried again numerous times but nothing. Any help would be appreciated

This same problem started occurring to me also, a few weeks ago, and seems to continue.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Steinberg Download Assistant, but it had no effect. The same authorization loop continues. I’m running macOS Big Sur 11.5.1.

Same here. Just purchased the upgrade to Absolute 5 and the download assistant is giving me an error message saying it can’t connect to the download manager. I can’ download anything then. The download Assistant simply gets frozen and I have to force quit. I am on a MacBook Pro OS 10.15.7
