Issue writing send automation with Softube Mk3 Fader

Hi,

Does anybody also have Softubes MK3 Fader and having issues with writing send automation in Touch Mode?

The automation just drops back to initial value ALTHOUGH keeping the finger on the fader. This is supposed to happen after releasing the finger. Thus you simply can’t write automation in Touch Mode. I’ve adressed Softube with this problem a while ago but as it persists it might also be on Steinbergs Side/Midi Remote.

Try setting to Auto-Latch in the Nuendo Automation Panel

I normally keep Nuendo in ‘Auto-Latch’, but just tried what you are wanting to do. I have a reverb send on an audio track, flipped Nuendo over to ‘Touch’, set the Console 1 Fader Mk III to ‘send 1’ instead of ‘volume’, and it wrote the test automation - until I stopped moving the fader.

When I stopped moving the fader, it did indeed drop any future automation moves I tried after that point, despite the fact my finger was still on the fader; like it lost my ‘touch’.

I didn’t have this issue in ‘Auto-Latch’, however; it performed as expected. Probably why I switched over to it a while ago (and had forgotten why, until now, ha ha).

I’m running Nuendo 14.0.32 on a Windows 11 PC and my Softube Console 1 software version is from the November 11 update (the most current update from the 18th is Mac-only, for a Tahoe OS 26.1 / Logic Pro fix).
