ISSUES when opening a score created with DORICO4.5 into 6

Hi I am having a few issues with a score I created in Dorico 4.5.

The score was fine in Dorico 4.5 (see picture) however now the first bar number is weirdly placed and there is no way to see the big time signatures. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi @Lollo_12345, to correct those unwanted changes (caused probably by new functionalities and some contrasting/incompatible settings with the old ones, since many new functionalities was introduced in those areas):

  • for the displaced bar number, deactivate Avoid Collision in Layout Options>Bar Numbers>Placement

  • for the metronome mark, delete the position override in the Properties Panel, and set its position as desired in Layout Options (above flute 1 and vn. 1):

  • for the Time Signatures, delete the three hidden time signatures (the signposts corresponding to the three bar number staff lines). The big TS will appear again. [They didn’t appear because you had local and hidden TS]
Then you can decide how to manually set the big TS (excluding the three barline staves). Here an example:

And the Manual:

That is amazing! I have another question (maybe you said that in our answer but I did not get it). I do want to have the time signature hidden in the three BAR NUMBERS STAVES. I tried creating an independent time signature and hide it, however it reverts the time signatures to small. Is there a reason for that and is there a workaround?

In the last step I show, you exclude the three bar-number staves : you see in the Players area of that dialogue that the three unnamed players are excluded from having a TS. So no need to hide it.
And anyway as I said, using hidden local TS prevents the large TS to be used in that rhythmical position.

I see, sorry I did miss that. I will try it, thanks a lot!
