I also could not import the video in Cubase AI 13.0.30 on Windows 11. However, it worked fine after I converted the file to another mp4 with the free app Handbrake.

That’s right.
With other apps, I can export and import.
But with Cubase 12, I can import.
So, I think there might be an issue with Cubase 13.

I’m sorry, but I can see a player again. Therefore I would recommend to ZIP the file, to make we are downloading exactly the file without touching it.

What I meant was that you can simply convert the video with a free app if you want to use it in Cubase 13. For some reason, it uses a codec which doesn’t seem to be compatible with Cubase 13, as there were some internal changes regarding video import from Cubase 12 to 13.

My apologies.
My English is terrible.
But I understand what you are saying.
It seems that all the images I have are done with this codec.
Everything takes a long time to convert.

I’ve been in touch with Steinberg (Yamaha) in Japan since last week. Finally, I received a response today. It seems like even in Steinberg, Cubase 13 couldn’t load it. However, it seems it could be loaded in Cubase 12. The person in charge says they don’t know why. They also mentioned contacting Steinberg in Germany.

I’ve made a mistake and all video imports on my side are working.

It doesn’t open for me either…Windows 11.

The people telling us it works have not listed their o/s but my best guess is they’ll be on Mac and that’s what’s making the difference??

i can’t play vids in Cubase 13. Tried mp4, Mov, Quicktime etc… i can see the pictures in the arrange page but when i double click to watch the screen is black
