Dorico no longer seems to slant the italic text flats and sharps using tokens e.g. {@flat@}. Is this expected behavior or a bug?
Probably the font does not contain an actual glyph for an italic flat sign, so Dorico was faking it by auto-slanting the regular upright version. I seem to remember that that behaviour was indeed turned off in some update or other because it’s typographically irresponsible and it looks bad, especially in actual text. Instead, upon opening a project file you get a dialog box where you can choose substitutions for any missing fonts/weights/styles. To be honest though I don’t know if there’s any font containing an actual italic flat sign.

It’s expected that Italicized accidentals are difficult to realize. ![]()
