Italics applied to portion of text in a field accessed by a token (auto text)

I am using the “Subtitle” field in the Project Info dialog box (Cmd-I on Mac, I assume Ctrl-I on Win) to put in the source name of hymns (since almost all of the ones we’re putting in the hymnal are translations).

The page template we’re using is set up to access that data and put it at the bottom of the score by using the token {@ProjectSubTitle@}.

In a few cases we want to put text in that field some of which should be in regular typeface and some of which should be in italics.

How can I do that?

At this point I have not made any characters styles, although there are many paragraph styles. (There is one character style in the dialog accessed via Library>Character Styles called “Music Text”, but I did not create it.)

A paragraph style is applied in the page template to the token for Project Subtitle. But if I make a character style for the needed italicized text, how do I apply it to only a portion of the text in that field in the Project Info dialog box?

Thank you!
Eric

Dorico 5 now supports Markdown in Project Info, much like here on the forum. See callout #2 on that page.

@Derrek and @Mark_Johnson,

Thank you very much! I’m happy that’s there. I never saw it and I just looked and didn’t see it – and then I noticed that the dialog box was not fully expanded.

Happy camper here. And grateful camper.
