I was just messing around with a Mac-copy of Cubase LE 7 I got with a piece of equipment and it occurred to me that it would be a great version of Cubase to offer in the Apple App store for $50 ? It would be soooo useful.
I run Educational labs and it would be so much easier to integrate into classroom packages as an App … so it could get some teaching exposure! Students also readily buy from the App Store and it would be a great intro into the other range of Cubase products.
All our students are always wanting a decent audio app that allows a bit of video to be added. We’re always wanting a basic audio app that is … well like Cubase… and easy to manage. Logic X is just too much money and learning curve.
Come on Steinberg … why not? The iPad version is App Store based, so why not the ‘freebie’ version too?
