For me, setting the threads to 64 with steinberg tool fixed it.
Does this only affect midi performance?
The problem or the fix/work-around?
The problem affects general performance and reliability - Cubase 12 crashed or froze instead of displaying that message, or could have scheduling issues due to not being able to set the correct thread priority, while the work-around applies to all applications using MMCSS.

I am still getting the MMCSS error message… quick question:
I am running a 14900K which has 32 threads… is there any difference in setting the utility to 64 threads or higher?
