Japanese UI shows Chinese-style glyph shapes in Cubase 15.0.10 (Cubase 12 is correct) on macOS

I’m seeing incorrect Japanese glyph shapes in the Japanese UI of Cubase 15.0.10 on macOS 14.8.2.

On the same Mac, Cubase 12 displays the correct Japanese glyphs, but Cubase 15 shows Chinese-style shapes. A clear example is 編集 (Edit): the character 編 uses a Chinese-style form. I also notice this in 戻る (Undo) (戻).

I attached two screenshots for comparison:

Cubase 12 (correct)

Cubase 15 (incorrect)

Resetting Cubase preferences did not help. I tested both the native Apple Silicon build and running under Rosetta, with the same result.
Since Cubase is widely used in Japan, I’d really appreciate it if Steinberg/Yamaha could check and fix this.

Hi,

Is this Cubase language or system language or both, please?

Hi,

Both.

My macOS system language is Japanese, and Cubase is running with the Japanese UI as well.
