Jazz leadsheets for a complete beginner

Hi All,
I just switched to Dorico from Finale. I can’t do anything yet. I am a complete beginner. The only thing I really want to use Dorico for is to create Real Book style jazz leadsheets. Is there a tutorial somewhere specifically on this topic, and if not, where should I begin? At first glance, it all seems very overwhelming compared to my familiarity with Finale.

Hi @Rick5 and welcome to the Forum and to Dorico.

I would suggest the Resources page, and particularly the First steps guide, both Part 1 and Part 2. There are 2 videos, web-help and pdf, and you can download demo projects to follow along the workflow explained there. They explain many basic and medium/advanced functionalities of Dorico, step by step.

If this is too much information at the beginning you can start with the videos suggested in the post above by @DanielMuzMurray.

Just switched from Finale myself.

Just jump in and go. In a couple of days I had enough knowledge to make a functional lead sheet.
