I think jazz ornaments are considered part of the notehead. This interferes with horizontal line properties as you can see in this example.

Yes, if you set a line to be aligned with the left-hand side of the notehead, it can do this correctly when there is an accidental to the left of the notehead but not a jazz articulation because of the amount of semantic information Dorico retains when it is laying out the music. These things are handled by independent processors and Dorico doesn’t currently retain enough information about what is causing the notehead to be extended leftwards to make it possible for Dorico to align the line correctly in this case.
