JBB Cajon map

I can’t get the cajon slap to appear in the score. I set the midi map so all three sounds play from the keyboard but have not found a way to create a part in the score for all three sounds. Only two appear in the score. I can’t add the stick slap to the kit. Here are some images…

In your Percussion Map, your three entries for MIDI notes 51, 52, and 53 all define the same playback technique, Natural. You should edit these so that they are different.

Then you need to edit the Cajon instrument itself such that it defines the same set of playback techniques as the ones defined in your percussion map. You do this via the Edit Percussion Playing Techniques dialog:

Do you add natural to each midi note? Not sure how to edit them so they are different.

In the percussion map editor, select each row in your percussion map, and you’ll see that the controls on the right-hand side below the grid of MIDI notes shows the current settings. Click the button next to the Playing techniques read-out to open the dialog where you can choose the playing technique to be used. Once you confirm the dialog, don’t forget to click Apply to make sure your change is reflected in the grid of MIDI notes.

Here is a screenshot of the Cajon percussion map. I don’t see a button next to playing techniques. I do see playback techniques where all three are natural. Is there something else to do?

I think I get it. I changed Slap to open 1 technique and Stick hit to stick (shaft1)

I created a stick hit in the percussion map for midi note 53 but cannot access in the edit percussion kit. I did load the JBB percussion expression map to try that without success.
