I have searched and not found if anyone else has this.
Okay so adding videos to song is easy, but on playback I am finding them jittery. That’s everything from the viewing monitor to sending to an external device. The videos themselves are very smooth looking, which is why I occurred to me. Indeed I can play these videos outside VL2 on this external device and it’s fine.

Update
Lowering the audio buffer down improves it a lot, but it still is a bit jittery compared to the source video.
Hi @Stephen_Mackrill , I’m sorry, not sure I 100% understand your question. However, could you check which version you use? Steinberg just released a new pre-release 2.2.16 this friday that fixed some video formats played jittery before.

As far as I know I do have the latest version. In any case turning multi thread off (on audio and video) and lowering the buffer below 128 or whatever it is, seems to have cured it.
There was some popping and clicking on the audio, typically this means buffering is struggling hence me raising it. But thankfully with a low buffer set to 64 and multi threading off, videos run smooth and pops and clicks have gone.
Hopefully this information could be of use to someone else if they find this happening to them.
