When I try to jump to a remote measure (e.g., 200) in galley view using either command-G or J, Dorico jumps to measure 1. I have not been able to get it to jump to measure 200. Am I doing something wrong?
(Edited after @jesele’s correction): When using the Jump bar J, are you typing b200 (as in b for bar)? From the jump bar, it won’t work if you type just the number
You’re right, thanks! I only use the jump bar so I forgot about ctrl/cmd+G.. I edited my post! But since both options apparently don’t work for OP, my reply is probably not very useful.
Just to rule this out, but are you sure the bar number you’re entering is actually present? The reason I ask is, if you enter e.g. bar 200 in a flow that only has 150 bars, Dorico will indeed jump to bar 1 of the flow.
Thanks for your help. Adding the spacebar seems to make it work OK. But this is pretty weird software and documentation. To get to bar 100, Dorico first jumps to bar 1, and then you also have to press spacebar (which–as far as I can tell–is not mentioned in the documentation), and then you have to press the spacebar again if you just wanted to jump locations and didn’t want playback.
