Just started working with the new Groove Agent 6. Running in Windows version 22H2, and a Motu M2 interface. I’ve noticed when I drag a pattern onto a track, it absolutely kills Cubase. Tried a few different kits and patterns (like the pre-made patterns from the new “Color Punch” set, same result. Even starting a brand new project, with only Groove Agent 6 loaded, and this issue actually removes the graphic of the timeline as well. In other projects with multiple tracks, all tracks get removed as well.
The screen shot says it all, my default tempo of 120, becomes 360, and there is some garbled text.
Interesting enough, I tested this in my other DAW (Cakewalk Sonar) and dragging a pattern to a track works flawlessly ?
Any other Windows users have this occurring ? If not, what possible Cubase settings might cause this ? (I just noticed there is a new Cubase 15 maintenance update, so I’ll try that and see if this persists)
Since I cannot reproduce the issue here, I don’t think it is a general problem. Please install the latest maintenance update for Cubase. If the problem persists, post a short screen recording of what exactly you’re doing to cause the issue.
I’ve updated to latest Cubase 15 maintenance, and also reinstalled Groove Agent 6, but I’m getting the same issue.
My steps to reproduce are:
Start new empty Cubase project . . . 2) Add Groove Agent 6 instrument . . . 3) Load THE KIT . . . Double Click to open a new pattern (from Color Punch) . . . 4) Drag the pattern to the Groove Agent track . . . POOF, I usually have to close Cubase by ending task in Windows Task Manager.
Not much to see, but here’s a video of where I’m dragging to a track:
Also, when I install Groove Agent 6, and then open Cubase, I get a message about something is added to the Plugin Blocklist . . . which I thought was strange, because this is a Steinberg plugin. (Got this message after 1st install, and reinstall)
Unfortunately, the issue appears to be too complex to discuss efficiently here in the forum. Therefore, I would ask you to contact our technical support directly. My colleagues there will be able to assist you more quickly and provide more detailed guidance than I can in this context.
