Hi all,
I have a problem:
I want to avoid the justification of the final system. Yes, I do know how to do it - by making the percentage something high - but it is not working if the last measure has no notes in it.
It appears that the only way I can get the system to not justify is if I have notes in it.
I’m not sure if this happens by default and so here is a project:
JustifyFinalSystem.dorico (1.2 MB)
EDIT: It DOES behave as expected if I have Bar Consolidation turned off.
Can anyone shed light?
I don’t know why it behaves like that, but try the following.
Turn Consolidation off.
Select the rest in the final bar. In Properties, activate Force Position and duration - this makes it an explicit rest.
Enter a semibreve in another voice. Go into Engrave mode and hide it in Properties > Hide notehead, and also Common > Suppress playback.
Select the rest and use Rest pos. to put it back where it should be.

Thanks for the reply and the workaround, @StevenJones01.
I’m in the middle of typesetting heaps of orchestral parts. I’ll see how many it affects. I may just live with it, for now.
