Hi Leute,

seit heute lassen sich weder die Notensatz Optionen noch die Layout Optionen in Pro 5 aufrufen. Kennt jemand das Phänomen. Kennt eine Lösung ohne Neu-Installation.

As of today, neither the notation options nor the layout options can be called up in Pro 5. Does anyone know about this phenomenon? Does anyone know a solution without reinstalling.

Are you sure it’s pro. You can open the other versions by holding down modifier keys when launching Dorico.

Yes, I’m sure its Pro 5

Try quitting and restarting Dorico: it’s possible that you accidentally opened as Elements or SE during your last session.

I have already done everything, including restarting the computer.
How can you accidentally start a different version?

Habe ich alles schon gemacht, auch den Computer neu gestartet.
Wie kann man denn versehentlich eine ander Version starten ?

By holding down alt/option when you launch Dorico. If that’s not it, open Steinberg Activation Manager (SAM) and check that the correct version is activated.

It is activated in the Dorico Activatio Manager.

Oh man, so many errors in the program.
-Menu options cannot be called up,
-sometimes the note input does not work,
-sometimes no sound,
-sometimes the keyboard input does not work.

I hope this doesn’t end up like in Finale, more and more functions and the corresponding errors.

Hi Michael,
we will solve your problem.
Firstly, have you checked which version shows up in the Top line of the Welcome Screen, when you start up the program?
a) Dorico SE
b) Dorico Elements
c) Dorico Pro

Michael, if you choose Library > Engraving Options, for example, does the dialog open? Do you see the expected shortcut in the menu alongside the name of the dialog?

:thinking: just thinking, may be the file where the keyboard shortcuts are stored is corrupted.
This does not sound correct in any way.
If I was you, firstly I would (make a backup of your relevant files and then) check your computer’s hard drive by running first aid (or the equivalent in Windows).
If the disk looks fine and no errors have showed up, I would, yes, re-install Dorico Version 5; just the bare application, not all sound components…
