Key Editor doesn't work

I’m trying to drag the second large square so it is in the same place as the first small square. If I try selecting it, it immediately deselects, and it won’t let me drag it either.

What happens if you delete it?

Jesper

I can’t delete it since it won’t let me select it.

Should turn orange.

Jesper

When I click on it or drag the mouse to do a box select, it will turn orange for, like, a millisecond and then instantly turn blue again.

Does it represent a dynamic set in the notation panel?

It does, but it’s not playing back correctly, so I want to change it manually.

This seems to happen anywhere that I have gradual dynamics written into the score. The key editor is pretty much unusable for dynamics with this problem.

it might be an idea to post a test project showing what you’re finding. If I simply create the same sort of things as you – i.e two hairpins following on from each other, it works fine. I can easily move the second large square so it aligns with the first small one.

I’ve experienced the same problem many times and never found a workable solution…

it works perfectly well on staves which are not divisi. With your divisi string staves, I’m often not able to select any of the dynamic points in the key editor. For instance you have two viola staves in the score but 6 voices altogether and what I suspect is happening is you have not selected or simply cannot select or the relevant voice for editing. There are still some limitations in the key editor in this respect with divisi but for a definitive answer, someone better versed in such complications should chip in-- I simply don’t write like this.
