I must be pretty bored today because I made a macro, and a video to show what it does and I’m sharing it all here.
Basically it’s an improvement on the default behaviour for duplicating versions inside Cubase (in my very humble opinion…!) 
Also, I’ve not really tested it very much so if you find it unsatisfactory I can only apologise, I’m sure there’s a bit of room for improvement.
