Keyboard midi editor

Hello,
I created an instrument track, I drew a block, I activated the keyboard editor, I activated step input mode, I enabled recording, my master keyboard is active, I type notes and chords on my keyboard and nothing happens. Did I forget something?
THANKS
Claude

Any chance you post a screenshot?

Sorry, I can’t post several screenshot because I am a new user

Hi,

Could you please attach the whole window screenshot?

Hi,
Yes and thanks for your attention.

Hi,

Enable also the MIDI Input (next to the Step Input button), please.

Hi,
You can’t enable step input button and input MIDI step by step.
The travk which created is an VST instrument and I use my midi keyboard to input some music.

claude

Hi,

If you want to input the MIDI data from your MIDI keyboard, use the MIDI Input instead of the Step Input, please.

If I click on Input MIDI step by step, the cursor inside editor disappears. Why can I introduce some music in my track with my keyboard? When I kick on my keyboard the editor’s keyboard plays same keys.
After click on MIDI input , it happens nothing.
Sorry, I am too old :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi,

I’m sorry, I was wrong. The MIDI Input is useful, if you want to overide already existing MIDI Notes from your keyboard.

If you want to Insert the MIDI Notes, use the Step Input.

If you press a MIDI Note on your MIDI Keyboard, can you see the Input meters on the Transport Panel? How is your MIDI Input set up on the given Instrument Track?

Hi,
For all of your questions the answer is yes.
There must be a big mistake, I cna(t see it. I can create a music in VST track.
Sorry for disturbing
Regards

Hi,

Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?

Thank you
