Keyboard shortcuts for playing technique text?

FEATURE REQUEST: assign Playing Techniques (or equivalent) to keyboard shortcuts

Yep, I’m finding this to be the case, too i.e. Dorico does certain things better than Finale. But this shouldn’t be about which platform is better: why not just add the ability for users to assign keystrokes to elements other than articulations only, so that we can be super-efficient in even more ways?!

The popovers have many advantages, more than I think disadvantages. You also can create macros with external apps achieving what you want.
Your argument also isn’t new and has been hurt.
I am sure the devs think every day about how to make the program experience better, but the popovers are already a very genius invention to this regard.
