Keyboard & wired audio options

Hi all, just wondering what folk are using for MIDI keyboard & audio when using Cubasis with an iPad Pro. I want the set up to be mega-portable so I can use it when traveling.

With iPad Pro’s single USB-C, there’s only room for a keyboard or a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter. I definitely want wired MIDI/audio as Bluetooth gives too much delay/latency.

I have an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm adapter & a small 25-key keyboard & wondering if a USB hub (or ‘splitter’) would work. So connect USB hub to iPad & headphones & keyboard to hub. These can be quite bulky though - all the smaller adapters that split the USB-C into audio don’t transmit data, they just allow the iPad to be charged at the same time.

A simialr option is Arturia’s MiniFuse audio interface, which has a built-in USB hub (i.e. connect MiniFuse to iPad & keyboard to MiniFuse) but that option is even more bulkier & it really starts to negate the benefits of portability.

The ideal solution appears to be IK Multimedia’s IRig Keys 2 Mini which has a built in 3.5mm headphone jack. I have previously tried this but 1st one had dodgy keys, the 2nd had a dodgy micro-USB port so not confident on the quality.

Any thoughts/advice appreciated!
