Kick drum 3 is playing a tenor sax sound

I am using Kick drum 3 as bass cues for the drum set part. My piece is in the key of F and Kick Drum 3 is playing a B natural as a tenor sax. How can I make Kick Drum 3 silent?

I don’t know if I understand the question, but can’t you mute it in the mixer?

I did mute only the “Kick Drum 3” in the mixer, but it keeps playing a tenor sax sound. Weird!

Which playback template are you using, or perhaps Noteperformer? Track down the mixer strip that is actually playing the tenor sax sound and mute it (as you noticed, it isn’t the Kick Drum 3). If you are using Noteperformer, more likely than not, you will be muting everything because by default, it outputs all instruments to the first mixer channel strip.

Do you have an added staff (formerly) that is now hidden. Such staves still play whether one sees them or not.

I’m fairly certain you’d still see them in Play mode as a MIDI segment (can’t actually check right now)

Sharing the file is maybe an good idea.

Yep, I was using NotePerformer for every thing. I have now designated Groove Agent to the drums.
