when I have the headphones knob on my komplete audio 6 interface turned above 10% I am getting this bit crushing, distortion type of noise coming through the headphones (audio technica). Its very annoying and all I have connected to the interface is my headphones. No speakers or anything,m just using headphones.
Doesn’t seem to matter how I change my control room settings, it constantly happens.
Note: this ONLY happens when using cubase (version 10.5). If I play back samples outside of cubase or play music on spotify, this it not a problem.
Setting to max buffer sizer produces the same result. One thing I did notice this time, is it seems to be low end sounds causing the issue. If I take my kick and do a cut from 100hz down, the noise no longer happens. As soon as I bring back in the low end the noise appears again. Very strange!
I’ve just noticed now its actually only the left ear of the headphones this sound appears in. Very strange! The right ear does not produce this distortion. I’ve only used these headphones a handful of time. Audio Technica M50X. Could this mean these are defective?
