Komplete Kontrol S61 mk3 which midi input/output in studio?

I migrated from mk2 to mk3 and I am lost between the various information found for my Native Instrument midi keyboard.
When setting up Cubase studio , which midi input and output should we use ?

NI documentation says MIDININ2 and MIDIOUT2 but it seems to be for the Mk2 serie ?
For mk2 serie there was also a _DAW version no more present.
Now there is a newer MK3S61 port ?
Thanks for help

No, it’s irrelevant.

I don’t have the MK3, but there is some info here: https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/kontrol-s-mk3-manual/en/setting-up-your-keyboard#setting-up-steinberg-cubase-and-nuendo ,

In order to setup the controller as a DAW controller, the ports are the following:

MIDI Input for Kontrol MK3 to KONTROL S[xx] MK3 (DAW) (macOS) or MIDIIN2 (KONTROL S[xx] MK3) (Windows).

MIDI Output for Kontrol MK3 to KONTROL S[xx] MK3 (DAW) (macOS) or MIDIOUT2 (KONTROL S[xx] MK3) (Windows).

Now, for using the controller for the normal midi activity (i.e. using the keybed), the ports are of the form:

KONTROL S[xx] MK3

This is from this link (check the Komplete Kontrol standalone midi ports setting):

https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/kontrol-s-mk3-manual/en/setting-up-your-keyboard

If you think the above are not accurate, perhaps you could post a screenshot of your midi ports (from the setup window) so we can check the issue.

Ok thank you.
Do you know a midi remote script for it ?

No. I think I recall another user mentioning that my script for the MK2 works for the MK3 as well. But I cannot verify this, since I don’t have the MK3, and honestly as a user, I wouldn’t experiment.

By the way, how is the feel of the MK3 keybed? Same as the MK2 or better in any sense?

My personal feeling is far better than my previous mk2…but my main instrument is guitar, not being as experienced on keys. The polyphonic aftertouch is great and one great screen far better than two.
