Kontakt GUI is choppy during playback inside Cubase

I’m on Win10, latest version. Cubase 10.

Whenever I open up any Kontakt GUI in Cubase, the playback becomes VERY choppy and laggy, both in Kontakt and Cubase itself. Especially when using libraries such as 8DIO, where their GUI within Kontakt looks alot more fancy.

Then when I close the Kontakt GUI, playback becomes smooth as usual again. Open up Kontakt with the GUI, playback becomes very laggy and choppy again.

It’s strange because I’ve never had this problem before.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I would try to experiment with graphical card driver. Try to install the latest one. Or try to remove the native driver and use the universal Microsoft graphical driver.

I would ask at NI forum, it seems to be NI Kontakt GUI related, not really Cubase (my expectation).
