Kontrol s61 mk 3 creates new midi remote controllers every day

Subject says it - I just bought this midi keyboard and it creates a new instance of a midi controller every day. The “old” ones are disabled.

I don’t know how to delete them or stop this behaviour

Cubase 15.

Anyone ?

No pb with it, have you checked that the last firmware is installed ?
It may be better to ask on Native Instrument forums.

Yes it is.

the same here. keep on making s61 mk3 inactive remote controlers

If we are lucky it will get fixed in the next maintenance release.

I’ve had the same with my S88 mk3, have been deleting them every day or so, today I deleted the script rather than the remote Device (hence all the remote devices disappeared), and can’t work out how to get it back.

S88 still plays fine in Cubase, the device is still there under Studio Setup, just no remote script.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Hi,

Have a look here:
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Steinberg\Cubase\MIDI Remote\Driver Scripts\Local\NativeInstruments\Kontrol_S_MK3

Thanks. I’m on a Mac but the same directory structure exists. Unfortunately while the NativeInstruments directory is there, it’s empty.

I have fixed the problem from a thread on Native Instruments forum.

I simply use their “Native Access” program and reinstall the “Hardware Connection Wizard”

Now the script is back in that directory and all is working fine (well I had to remove the extra MIDI control surface)

Thanks

Just checked and found that there are 4 instances of my NI Komplete Kontrol S88 Mk Midi remote script installed.

Are all four used by default? If not, how can I remove the 3 not used instances, and how can I stop eventual new instances from being generated?
