Lanes in the Audio Part Editor

Hello,

I have Cubase Elements 15 and I have some inconsistency around the audio part editor and lanes.

I grab several takes stacked on top of one another and select Events to Part. Sometimes I double click and the Audio Part Editor opens up and they are nicely stacked in lanes, which is what I want.

Other times, I double click and it opens in the Audio Part Editor as a single stack part that I cannot ungroup. If I move it down a lane, the entire group moves.

I am sure I am doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out what.

Hi,

Are you sure, it’s the Audio Part Editor in both cases? Is in the Sample Editor (i.e. the editor of the Audio Event)?

The lanes (takes) recorded on one go (in Cycle), is a single Audio file, which is just visually split to the takes/lanes. But if you open it in the Sample Editor, you can see it as one file.

Yes, It is definitely the part editor, I think the problem might be that I went back later and recorded another take. Even though audio is in the same stack, cubase may no longer consider this a stack of takes? But I did do that on another section that did work fine.

I figured it out. The other parts were way down in the lanes to where I needed to scroll down in the editor to find and move them,
