Large fermata, tapering the line?

Hi all,

I am trying to create a large fermata, experimenting with using two lines; one curved, one invisible with a centered dot:

It is getting close, but ideally I would like to have the curved line tapered just like the regular fermata.

Possible?

Check the control y points in the tapered curve section of the line body editor.

I did this by using Insert Music text… and choosing fermataAbove, then changing the size to 32 points and setting FontStretch to 200%. As you can see, the dot is also stretched.

What does that actually mean? How would one interpret this? 2 holds? Or: “look up at conductor”.

I think it’s smoother than having several successive fermatas when multiple notes are involved in a suspended beat? Like here in Schubert’s im Frühling:
