Large time signature once per line

How do I show only one large time signature just in the woodwinds without the mini ones underneath? I already tried the setting of “Instruments between brass and strings: treat as single bracket” and that just created a large time signature for the harp part and kept a mini one for the cello.

If this is not possible, Dorico needs to make this available as it is the standard for film scores.

In Layout Options > Time Signatures > Large Time Signature behaviour > Manual

Is this what you want?

If so, check the manual settings here under Layout Options:

I don’t see that manual option, is that not in Dorico 5?

It’s in Dorico 6.

So I guess I have to just leave it as is for now?

Depending on the instruments you use, this may help:

Library/Engraving Options/Time Signatures/Time Signatures Centered On Bracket

I’m afraid so. You could maybe achieve that with local time signatures set to transparent in the score, but that would be a tricky workaround…

From the D6.0 version history:

When using Show once per bracket, Dorico has in the past not provided any further options to influence where the time signatures appear. In Dorico 6, it is now possible to exercise complete control over the placement of large time signatures

Or of course, if you can consider upgrading, there are a huge number of improvements between 5 and 6 across many areas.

You could try setting these to zero under Library->Engraving Options->Time Signatures.

@jesele, I don’t even understand how, but that worked! Thank you so much!
