Hi, I worked on the tablet after installing the software cubasis and I had no latency, neither on the tablet’s control keyboard nor on an external control keyboard. Then I connected an external sound card to the tablet and after disconnecting it, I constantly have lag and sometimes background noise, and all my attempts to change it in the settings do not really help me solve the problem. I would appreciate help.
Hi @hadaslior.0,
Thanks for your message.
Do you use Cubasis on iOS or Android?
Does the issue disappear after restarting Cubasis?
Best,
Lars
Hi, no, the problem doesn’t go away when I restart the cubasis, it’s always there. I work on Android.
Hi @hadaslior.0
Please give it a try to choose a lower latency value located under “Setup/Audio”.
Does this help resolving the problem?
Best,
Lars
Hi, keep in mind that I am contacting you after trying the simple, logical things that need to be done.
Well, somehow the delay is now fixed but there is still a crackling sound problem. I will share a screen recording so you can see if my settings are OK.
I am working with a Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G
Thank you very mu
ch.
Hi @hadaslior.0,
Please try closing all apps and then fully shutting down your Android device.
After restarting, launch Cubasis with an empty project. Does this work?
Afterwards, carefully add instruments and/or effects, as each of them adds to the overall CPU load.
In addition, please check whether toggling the Multi-core Processing option helps.
Does this improve the situation?
Best,
Lars
Ok thanks, this solved the problem after I did what you wrote and in the settings in the picture with the software’s built-in keyboard, but with the external keyboard there is still a delay.
16 ms latency doesnt crackle on the internal keyboard either.. hopefully this compensates enough on an external keyboard that it’s acceptable ![]()
I didn’t really understand what you were saying. I said that the problem I had with the delay on the internal keyboard was solved in 32 and the problem I have with the external keyboard was not solved in 8 either. Which is really strange because before I connected an external sound card everything worked fine. Something went wrong. Question - If I delete the cache from the application, will it also delete my projects. Maybe that will help, but only on the condition that it doesn’t delete the projects.

Clearing cache only removes temporary files, it shouldnt touch projects and samples etc since they are hard saved to your storage.. if you are not sure, you always can save your projects to your google drive (or SD card etc) via the share button in the mediabay, before clearing.
Clearing data will result in loss of projects etc.
Hi @hadaslior.0,
If everything worked fine before, you might want to try deleting and reinstalling Cubasis to check whether the issue is caused by something else.
IMPORTANT
Just make sure to back up all Cubasis‑related files beforehand — otherwise they will be lost.
Best,
Lars
Hi, I reinstalled the software and it doesn’t help. No matter what I do, there is always a slight delay and it wasn’t there at first.. Is the software supposed to work with all external keyboards without any delay?

Hi hadaslior.0:,
Your Latency setting of 32.0 ms is going to cause a delay when you play your MIDI keyboard, usually I have mine set to 2.7 ms, but if I have a lot of AUv3 plugins running in Cubasis at the same time, I have to then increase the latency amount 5.3 ms or 10.7 ms to stop any cracking. When I use Cubasis in a live situation, all my backing arrangement is mixed down to a WAV file and I set the latency to 2.7 ms for no latency playing.
Mike
