Why don’t the latest versions of Cubase work on Windows 7?
There are many questions associated with this!
Please tell me, will it be possible to make the next versions so that they can work on Windows 7?
Because the minimum requirements for Cubase 12 is:
Operating systems (Windows)
64-bit Windows 10 Version 21H2 (or higher), 64-bit Windows 11 Version 21H2 (or higher)
It is common that (DAW) developers are dropping compatibility for Windows versions that are no longer supported by Microsoft such as windows 7.
So, I don’t think the newer versions will ever be backwards compatible with Windows 7 or earlier.
Things are moving forward!
It hasn’t been supported for several years now. You could try to get a Cubase 10 license which I believe was the last time it was 100% supported. I had problems in Cubase 10.5 so upgraded to Windows 10 and never looked back.
I haven’t done it recently but you should still be able to upgrade to Windows 10 from 7 for free. It converts your Windows 7 license to 10 and then upgrades you:
