LaunchKey crashes Cubase 12 on start up

My novation LaunchKey freezes / crashes Cubase 12 on start up when it is initializing plugins. When it scans through plugins and gets to “Mackie HUI” it stops loading and i then have to use task manager to terminate Cubase.
I’ve tried different USB cables and ports.
Does anyone else experience this, and if so, do you know of a fix?

Are you running 12.0.51? There was a bug with MIDI controllers, update to 12.0.52 and that should fix it.
